Yellow Fever Vaccine for Iguazu?

My husband and I will be honeymooning in BsAs in early September. We are considering a trip to Iguazu Falls, but have a question about the Yellow Fever vaccine.

We know the vaccine is "recommended," but at $90 a pop, is it really necessary given the risk is very low? Any comments/opinions?

The vaccine is pretty reliable (nearly 100% effective for ten years), but has a nasty side effect for folks > 60 yo and folks with "thymus" problems - a YF like reaction with a high mortality.
That said, I was immunized in 1973, but not when I went to the Darien (Pananma) in 2003. We used Ultrathon and were not bothered by mosquitoes during the latter adventure.

"Water only, one brand" Which brand? Is this true in other parts of SA - We'll be in Bariloche, BA, Rio, Santiago, etc.

I am a fan of Villavicencio, but I do not know if it is available out of Argentina.

I do not quite understand why my nephew santiagov says "1 brand". Simply drink any well-known mineral water.

You won't need a vaccine for Yellow Fever for visiting Iguazu.
Just go and enjoy!!
