Xcaret w/young child?

We are going to the Mayan Riviera with our 16month old. We are thinking of going to Xcaret but we are not sure if we should since our child is so young. We will not snorkel since he is with us. Are there other things to do there besides snorkeling? Thanks!

We were at Xcaret a few years back in Feb. as a tour from Cancun. There is a nice little beach area and a location for swimming with the dolphins. Many people with little ones watching the show.
Actually I didn't care for the snorkleing there anyway.
By the way, why Xcaret with a baby? Why not a Disney cruise or a resort?
Just a thought...

Thanks for the advice. Looking forward to going as he loves animals. I thought Xcaret was just for snorkeling.

We are actually going to a resort, the Sunscape Tulum. We figured we will save Disney for when he is older and will appreciate it more.

Thanks again!

I always wonder, what about dolphin poop in the water?

How do they handle that?

Xcaret has a coral reef aquarium, and areas with animals like sea turtles, pumas, a bat cave, etc. The very small beach area has very calm water which would be good for very little ones.
