Who flies into Liberia CR from US?

Its been suggested we fly into the Liberia airport from the US, to avoid San Jose. Can someone supply names of airlines from US that do that, and possibly from what US cites?
Thank you,
Lisa

Delta was the first to start service into Liberia--out of Atlanta. There are others flying in there now as well. Probably American and Continental--you can check the airline websites and find out which ones. The airport code for Liberia is LIR.

DL, AA, CO and NW flies on weekends only. LIR is really a converted hangar but very handy, we were out of there in under 15 minutes. SJO is not bad either but if you are touring the Pac NW and even arenal LIR would be my airport of choice.

Delta from Atlanta, Continental from Houston, Northwest from Minneapolis (only weekends from Nov. 1- April 30) and American from Miami. All vary seasonally. A great airport to use if you are spending time in Guanacaste.

Another thought is that companies like Vacation Express, Apple Vacations and such also fly into Liberia. Some of these may only offer the entire AI package, but I know for certain the VE offers airfare only.

However these are 7 night trips, beginning and ending on Sat.

If 7 nights would work, then this may be a good deal for you.

Another option is to do a search for flights thru, expedia, orbitz, travelicity, etc and see what you find. I recommend flying into LIR if you plan on traveling to any part of the northwest. I flew into LIR two years ago on Delta, cheaper flight than into SJO and alot easier to the areas I wanted to go. have fun.
