Where to shop in Buenos Aires
I was in BA's in October and loved it. Now I am taking my mother with me in April.
She loves shopping. She is 73.
However, I did not find any big bargains when I was there in October. Maybe I did not go to the right places. I found very nice things at Patio Bulrige (sp?) and Galerias Pacifico, but they were about as expensive as in the US. The quality of clothes in the shops in Florida Street was not precisely high.
Any recomendations as to where to shop for reasonably nice ladies clothes at reasonable prices?

All of the shops in Palermo Viejo are great. You could start out around the Costa Rica/Armenia crossroad, and work your way around that. If in any doubt, ask in the shops as they are usually very helpful. I agree about Prune, it is a great leather shop, with jackets, shoes and handbags, and very well priced.

Would also like to recomend Palermo Soho, a nice area, lot of small shops and nice cafes, when you need a rest from the shopping.
If you are interested in designer clothes in leather take look at Chelo Combina, Malabia 1632, her website is: http://www.chelocombina.com
It is of course more expencive than the shops in Florida area, but you will get something very special.
