If you are coming from the northern hemisphere, simply add 6 months to the current one and you will have an approximate idea of what weather to expect. Keep in mind that Argentina is very long and has many climate zones at any one time. Decide where you want to visit, then you can decide what type of clothing is required. Hope this helps.

March and November are the two best months to visit Buenos Aires in my experienc. Fall and Spring, with moderate temperatures and sunny days.
Jan. can be hot and humid. If you must visit during this month get a place with good a good air conditioner and you will be fine.

Hi, I lived in BA for 10 years before moving to the US. The best times for me are mid-March to mid-April (beginning of the fall), and then late September (beginning of the spring). This is the ideal weather for wondering around, with just a light jacket in the evening. Howver, with climate change, nowadays you never really know what to expect of the weather anywhere.

I was there in November and found it warm and lovely. No coat needed but it wasn't so hot that you were miserable. It is such a wonderful place that I think I would jump at the chance to go no matter what time of year it was.

Thanks Avrooster! I have a new job and lost my home computer so I'm kind of limited right now on my ability to get my Fodors fix. But I haven't forgotten my BA experience and am living vicariously through Scarlett's reports!
