Wedding in Belize
I am planning a wedding in Belize for April/May 2007. I need some HELP on picking the right resorts, prefer all inclusive. I would like to be married in Ambergris Caye and not sure if this is the right spot to conduct the wedding.
If any one has been married in Belize or attended a wedding there, I would appreciate any suggestions to get me on track.
Travel agencies have not been helpful.
Thanks!

Ambergris is the best choice for a large wedding group with diverse tastes and needs. You can submit your marriage application on the 4th business day you are in Beize and the application will be ready for your ceremony the following business day. There's a great wedding photog on the island and a Reverand willing to perform custom ceremonies. Flowers and many many options for pre and post celebrations. You want to be married on the beach? At a Maya site? Keep in mind Easter week will be bsy and books up in advance. April and May are at the end of the dry season. Wonderful for active groups. You can arrange for group sorkel trips with a beach bbq, day trips to the mainland for maya sites, cave tubing and zip lining. Lots to do to keep everyone busy, easyto arrange.

Hi,
I got married in Ambergris Caye using www.idoinbelize.com. The services these two guys gave me were exceptional. I could get married again using their servies. Carlo is a Hair and Make Up Artist & florist. Ricko on the other hand, very knowledgeable in Belize History and good personality.
Give them a try.

Congrats! We got married at Ramon's Village in 2003. Great deal and completely stress free! We did a morning wedding. Came complete with flowers, cake, snorkling for a day, bikes for a day, champagne... to start with. I think we paid 800-900$ for the wedding back then. We also got a great deal because our guests had breakfast packages so we did a breakfast after the ceremony and we only paid for large fruit platters and extra champagne so we could do a nice dinner at Capricorn later that evening so everyone could do activities during the afternoon. They decorated everything beautifully and went above and beyond my expectations.
The night before, we hosted a bar-b-que on the beach and they set up everything and decorated for nothing. It was awesome!
To top that we booked about 15 rooms for average of 3-4 days each and we ended up getting our room (the presidential suite @$250-300 a night) free for 10 days.
Our first choice was Victoria House. We stayed there when my husband proposed. I loved it and it was a bit more expensive, but it is beautiful. The atmosphere there is more serious and luxurious. The beach at Ramon's is by far better and the night life is way better at Ramon's as you are closer to town and they have live music a few nights a week (as i recall) at their resort.
Depending on the size of you party, we did a sunset cruise to have the two families spend time together. Great way to start off the vacation.
Good luck. We loved our wedding and would do again given the chance.
