Verana in Yelapa (Puerto Vallarta)

You do realize that this thread is 12 years old????? I'm sure things have changed considerably in Yelapa in that time.
I was dismayed that it appears that ATV's are starting to take the place of donkeys/mules for hauling around the town when we were there for the day a few weeks ago.

Yes, I realize the post is over a decade old. I was hoping to revive it.
After reading this thread, my husband said, "Maybe we shouldn't stay at Verana, it seems that no one who has been there has ever come back to tell about it." ;-)
It is too bad that ATVs are replacing mules. That really changes the feel of a place. Perhaps it signifies positive economic changes for the village, though.... Is it still a nice place to visit?
When you visited Yelapa for the day, did you think it would have been nice to stay overnight? Or does a day trip seem more than sufficient to you?
I'm still hoping someone who has stayed at Verana will write a post about their experience..... Anyone?
