Great pics RAC. Thanks for sharing. Especially love whatever that huge peacock feathered turkey looking bird is.

That bird is an oscillated turkey. You'll see them everywhere at Tikal--especially if you stay the night.

We saw the turkeys at Tikal too; we were supposed to be learning about the Mayan calendar, and my husband kept saying, "Babe, look at that cool turkey!"

Those turkeys were all over the Chan Chich grounds too.
