TRAIN INFO FROM/TO MEXICO CITY

I am a travel agent and have a client who wants to travel by train from/to Mexico City from/to Cancun. He will spend about four days at front
or back of vacation/Honeymoon in Mexico City.He wants to travel by train to Cancun for the rest of a 10 stay in Mexico. Can you tell me if this is do-able either by train from Cancun to Mexico City or vice-versa.
Thank for your help.

SUSAN:

THERE IS NO RAILROAD TO CANCUN. THE NEAREST RAIL STATION FROM CANCUN IS IN MERIDA, WHICH IS LIKE THREE DRIVING HOURS FROM CANCUN.
I THINK THERE YOU CAN TAKE A TRAIN TO MEXICO CITY.
TRAINS IN MEXICO ARE NOT SO COMFORTABLE, THEY ARE REALLY SLOOOOOW (MERIDA- MEXICO CITY SHOULD TAKE NEARLY TWO DAYS) BECAUSE USUALLY THEY STOP IN EVERY TOWN ON THE RAILWAY. THE FACILITIES INSIDE ARE JUST BARE IF ANY AT ALL.
EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN CHOOSE BETWEEN FIRST OR SECOND CLASS, THE DIFFERENCE IS ALMOST NONE.
HOWEVER, IT'S A CHEAP MEAN OF TRAVEL AND IF THESE GUYS ARE IN AN ADVENTURE MOOD COULD BE FUN.
IN MY OPINION I WILL TAKE A BUS FROM CANCUN TO MEXICO CITY, IT TAKES ALMOST A DAY (ITS FAR AWAY) BUT YOU CAN FIND NICE BUSES WITH AIR CONDITIONER AND FACILITIES.

I HOPE THIS INFO IS HELPFUL FOR YOU

HOWEVER, IT'S CHEAP AND CAN BE A WAY TO SEE O
