Tours in Puerto Vallarta

We are starting to plan our next trip to PV. We will be going in either
Dec/Jan/Feb for a week.

We have done the Rhythm of the Nights tour
vallarta-adventures.com/tours/rhythms-of-the…

and this ATV tour
http://www.uniqueatvtours.com/?page_id=22

My question is, what tours have you been on and what were your experiences?
We want to do at least 2 on our next trip.

Please include link if you can.

Thank you

I wouldn't miss the Los Veranos Canopy tour.
Also a sailboat trip with Pegaso Charters.

We did the Yelapa & Majahuitas tour with Vallarta-Adventures.

We also did the Jungle Trio tour from Best Day.

http://www.bestday.com/Tours/Jungle_Trio/

We enjoyed both.

If your dates are open consider going at the beginning of December. Then you can be in town for the Festival of the Virgin of Guadelupe. It's the largest local event of the year. (the week before and culminating on Dec 12th) It's a fabulous celebration to be able to participate in.

Sorry, in my 19 trips to Vallarta to date, I've yet to take a actual tour. But I hear only good things about Los Veranos.

Los Veranos is great. Go have some fun yourself for the day without DH. Or he can come along and hang out at the restaurant/bar for you at the end of the trek.

Last December I did the tour to San Blas, which was great, with a stop at a crocodile farm.

There's a "home tour" I've seen advertised (and friends have done). I believe it is a fund-raiser for a local charity?

I have researched and found a few that might meet our needs.

This first one may be the home tour Suze.

If we go before Dec.31st

Nope, that's not it, jetsetj. The one I mentioned is not commercial, rather some local civic group or nonprofit I believe sponsoring it. It goes around to a number of different homes within the city. If you're interested ask over on the Trip Advisor forum, someone there will know (or I can ask about it).

Suze is correct. The tour for the historical homes is free and led by docents. The Liz Taylor/Richard Burton house is called Casa Kimberly. Here is a link for things to do. Half way down is a contact number for Casa Kimberly:

The tour mentioned is not to "Historical" homes, but to large villas, it is run by the International Friendship Club, Wed & Thur, 3 hours, US$ 35, . Profit goes to charity. Bus leaves at 10:30 am from Olas Altas, opposite Mama Delores.
Ticket sale begin at 9 am
BUT. they are not running again this year until around Nov. see http://www.ifcpv.com/home-tours/

THANK YOU Cabron. That's exactly it. A friend really enjoyed it and I've seen it advertised, but have never done it myself.

We took the villa tour last year. I was very surprised at how many people had signed up. I think we loaded up 3 school bus sized buses. We toured 4 or 5 villas. They were spectacular and it was fun seeing different areas of PV. The villas that they show may change from year to year. Some were for sale or rent.
