We just got back from the Osa - Bosque del Cabo - and we had no rain at all. Every single day was gorgeous. We expected afternoon rains, but they never came. Just got one little shower (10 minutes?) one evening. I feel like we got pretty lucky. When we were in Arenal/Manuel Antonio last year in late July, we got afternoon showers each day, but we just learned to do our activities in the mornings and then go back out after the rain. August may have slightly more rain, but late September and then October are when the big rains hit.

There will actually be less rain in August than June. You are going at a great time. As the other poster mentions, the lodge will have you up and out early. So by late afternoon, you are ready for a shower and pre-dinner happy hour.
The rainy season runs more or less May through November. July and August are the least rainy. Around this time, there is usually what the locals call "little summer." When there is very little rain. You should be fine.
Hope this helps! Let me know if I can offer more advice.

If it rained 24/7 every day you are there, it would interfere, but chances are that won't happen. Do your hiking when you have the opportunity, and plan on some downtime for rain. It's a good idea to always take your rain poncho when you go out. There is a nice 2nd story area in the main building of BDC that has plenty of sitting room, books, games to help pass the time...You can usually wake up and book guided walks or tours last minute depending on how you feel about the weather.
