If you have traveled in/out of Tijuana (we're in the So Calif. area)by air, please let me know if you have any advice on parking at the airport or any other advice. I'm not at all familiar with the airport and am wondering whether it is expensive to park there, safe to park there, etc., or whether it may be better to stay over the border and take a taxi to the airport. In advance, thanks!

We flew out of Tiajuana a few years ago, and left our car in the US. You can take the trolley to the border then its about a 10 minute cab ride to the airport. The neighborhood around the airport didn't seem that safe to me, and I didn't notice much secured parking

Thank you, Lcuy. Was it hard to find parking on the US side for an extended period of time? We'll be gone for one week.

We actually lefft it with relatives, but there are some long term parking garages downtown in the Little Italy area and maybe some even closer to the Trolley line. Will you be staying at a hotel in San Diego. I'd ask them, as a lot of time they'll let you leave your car at a cheap rate!

Park at the border in the us side...$7 per 24 hour periods. Parking at the Tijuana airport is expensive, about $20 per 24 hours. Walk across the border and take a taxi to the airport. Very safe and convenient. Good luck.
