Spring Break in Cancun

Can anyone tell me when it is next year? I want to avoid it if possible.

The following website lists a lot of the universities and their erollment numbers. Dates for their spring breaks have not been posted as yet, but you can continue to check the site. I go to Cancun frequently. Was there in latter part of March this year, which was supposed to be the peak time, and it was nothing like what I was expecting, thank goodness. Actually it was on the quiet side. Last year, I was there in late February, and hit only the beginning, which also wasn't bad. Think many of the breakers stayed in the US the last 2 years. Staying at a hotel that doesn't allow spring breakers also helps a lot, just in case.

Hope this helps.

"Spring Break" varies so much. There is no set rule.Anytime from the end of February to the middle of April or even the end of April.

I agree, I would book early Feb (which will be most expensive) or Late April will give you the beginning of "low season" rates but they (students) come back again in full force Memorial Day and during June especially after graduation. Have a great time !

Agreeing with all above, colleges in the States and Canada have their spring semester breaks at various times.

I think to avoid this kind of activity and type of tourist, it's much more important to pick a hotel that doesn't cater to students, even more than which exact week you choose to travel, or not.

At least in Puerto Vallarta, the spring break phenomena seems pretty centered at the cheaper, all-inclusive resort hotels or bars like Carlos O'Brien. I rarely notice it in the Old Town and El Centro area, and I've been in PV various weeks in years past from Feb to April.
