Also Fodor's has more extensive pages, my main concern is reading the menu. We just came from Albuquerque, I've been reading the menus in English, couldn't understand some of them

Most everywhere we've gone has also had a menu in English. If you can't figure out what to order, just say "casado" and you'll end up with with a meat with veggies and sides like rice and beans or plantains. It's the most common thing you'll see, and they usually give you a choice of meat like beef, chicken, etc. Here's an example of a menu from a place we like.
