SJO customs - cutting it close?

I have just finished booking all my flights for a CR trip in December and everything looks good except I am worried I may have cut the transfer time a little close in San Jose. I arrive at SJO at 12:45pm and need to get to a SANSA flight to Tambor by 2pm (this flight is out of SJO, not Pavas). Will that be enough time or am I worrying for good reason? Thanks for any help!

I doubt you'll have enough time, and I would never attempt such a thing. I've had immigration and customs take anywhere from 15 to 90 minutes, and there's never any way to predict which it will be. Even if it's on the short end, if your international flight is the least bit late, you'll have problems.

Yea thats what I was thinking. I wanted to get out of San Jose as quickly as possible but I suppose another 2 hours wont kill me.

Oh, if there's a later flight, reserve that one and give yourself some peace of mind.

I have some friends that are meeting us in Tambor next February. Their international flight gets in at 1:30, and they have booked the 4:00 Sansa flight into Tambor-out of the same airport. Apparently, this gives them enough time to connect (at least I've been told that by Sansa).
