I stayed there for a week last year. I think 2-3 stars would be more accurate. I was a good deal for the money but it is not deluxe. The rooms are plain but clean. The beach is not great. They have 3-4 pools spread around and have activities. They only have sol beer poured from quart bottles. they have a show every night. The food was pretty good mainly buffet but there are a few dinner restaurants with a menu. There are tennis courts and bikes you can pedal to bucerias. Not 4 star but alright.

Hi Chrissyk:
Well my friends just got back early this morning from Royal Decameron and here is the low down:
1.The hotel was nice but they did not give you shampoo or kleenex in your room
just soap.
2.The bus ride to downtown PV is about 35-40 minutes
3.The grounds are very nice and the hotel is right on the beach.
4. They have 3 pools which were very nice.
5. The food was good and the variety was good.
6. The entertainment was good and they enjoyed all the entertainment provided each night.
7. They stayed for 2 weeks , which they said was a bit long because the second week sort of dragged,as they did not take any tours after their first week, just sort of layed around eating and drinking (" tough life"
.
I will be having coffee with them tomorrow and if they have any additional useful information, I will pass it on.
Oh yes ,they said the weather was Terrific!!!
Guess you are going to have a great time in PV

Thanks Percy for the update! It sounds like a nice enough place. I'm glad the food was good. I can live without the shampoo as we will bring our own but good to know. I am not too fussy so I'm sure it will be great. Any more info would be nice too. I look forward to hearing more if you can. Thanks
