Roatan

I would like to visit Roatan. Could anyone tell me about a nice, clean inexpensive hotel to stay at with pool. Also, names of places to eat, things to do, any nightlife, anything of interest for someone who has never been there would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Blu
I posted a similar question yesterday and had no reply. Doesn't anyone travel there! Sounds like a wonderful place!

I'll be going there in March, and like you, haven't been able to find too much information.

Yahoo has a Roatan group that you can join. The folks there are both knowledgable and helpful. Go to

Also www.virtualtourist.com has good info as well. Member Tinkan just purchased property there and just loves it. You can either do a member or destination search.

As AnnK stated I did purchase a home there and have been down there 4 times in the last 12 months. Love it.
I would recommend staying at Anthonys Key Resort if you are looking for an all in one place. The food is awesome and the rooms on the key are great. The dive boats at AKR are first rate and the folks there do everything they can to make you happy. This resort is first rate.

Make sure that if you do go to bring some Avon skin so soft and some cactus juice to take care of the sand flys and the no-seeums... They work well together.

Enjoy life and all that it has to offer.
