Road from Jaco to MA?
I have a friend who was born and raised in Costa Rica, who told me that the road between Jaco and MA is a nightmare. Her exact words were "Don't do it!" She said she would never travel it again. She hasn't been back there for the last few years, though.
Can anybody tell me if it is still that bad?
We were thinking of a day trip from the Los Suenos Marriott to MA. Is that unrealistic?
If so, I might just book a hotel in MA.
Also, How long/bad a drive is it from MA to the San Jose Airport?
Thanks.

Dear lvk,
The road is not bad at all! Much has changed since your friend took that road the last time. It takes about 75 minutes to get from Los Suenos to MA, and you can do it with any car, any time of the year. Basically it is all paved, with very short stretches of unpaved road, where they are fixing the road or building new bridges. It is a very easy road. The drive back from MA to the airport is about 3.5 hours, again, easy drive.
For any more information or with any more questions, feel free to write me directly.
