Reliable travel agent
Can anyone out there recmommend a reliable travel agent specializing in Brazil?<BR>The one I'm dealing with now is not very responsive. I'm located in northern VA but, if<BR>they are reliable they don't necessarily need to<BR>be within arms reach of me.<BR><BR>Also, what about that police strike in Salvador?<BR>I was planning on spending some time there as well as in Rio.<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR><BR>JR

Since I'm Brazilian, and live in Rio, I don't know any travel agency in the US that specializes in Brazil.<BR><BR>The police strike in Salvador is over. Some were dismissed and the situation is under control since January,10. Don't worry. <BR><BR>Regards,<BR><BR>S

Try Ole' Travel. They specialize in travel to all of Latin America, including Brazil. I was referred to them by a couple of posters on another message board, and I used them to book a trip to Honduras a couple of years ago.<BR><BR>Here's the website address: http://www.oletour.com/

JR, in the past I have bought plane tickets from airline consolidators, I have gotten great prices on tickets to Brazil, one of these places is BACC travel in New York http://www.brazilianvacation.com/AirOnly.html Also to make Hotel res in Rio try an american in rio named Bobby at WWW.blameitonrio4travel.com, he can make hotel res for you and pick you up at the airport.
