Puerto vallarta resorts for mom and toddler?

I was in PV in May and November 2016 but I have never been to La Playita myself and did not say I had been (if you read what I wrote).
My comment is from participating daily on the PV Trip Advisor forum where favorable reviews of that hotel & restaurant are frequent and consistent.

I'm just stating from what I actually experienced eating the brunch there. My friend was not happy either. It was just not worth the money. Much better brunch at any AI I've been to or the Sheraton.
Janis, just because someone was in PV, doesn't mean they ate at that restaurant. It's just personal experience from eating there.

Size. I quite appreciate all your info and this was just abou what we experienced. And I'm not judging about taste either, rather selection. It is ok to have an opinion differing from others. Especially when I've actually eaten there.

Why just this afternoon on TA someone who just arrived for their 1st trip to PV is posting live from La Playita about what a great place it is.
Sure it's OK to have differing opinions and experiences...
I had the worse meal ever last year at a very popular place in PV. Everyone else loves it, still gets glowing reviews, but we had a stunningly horrible time (dirty linens, rude waiter, burnt food, you name it!).
