Proposal Help! Playa del Carmen!

Hello,
I'm going to Playa del Carmen in May with my girlfriend...I plan on proposing to her while we're there.
We're a pretty fun, easy going, laid back couple...not so much into super romantic things...we'd rather be goofy, adventurous, and spend our time laughing.
Any fun, unique ideas on how to propose? Thank you so much!

I just read on another post about a man proposing to his girlfriend by putting the ring in a clamshell and letting her "discover" and open it on the beach, then he dropped to one knee.

Ten of us a year ago were there to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary and also some family graduations. We rented a villa. Nice location. One thing we did was spend a day on a party boat in which most aboard were members of a wedding party. Thought occurred to me that this might be a good place...though probably not while snorkeling! Anyway best wishes.
