Private Transfer Companies

What are some private transfer companies in CR. I am looking for transportation between SJ airport to Arenal, Arenal to MA, and then MA to SJ. Thanks!

We used Sunset Tours from SJ to Arenal (2.5 hrs) and from Arenal to MA (5 - 6 hrs) and then flew Sansa from MA/Quepos to SJ. All went very smooth. Sunset has nice vans and very nice drivers that will stop wherever and whenever you want.

I do not know the rate. This was booked for us through a travel/booking agency. Capricorn Leisure in NY.

Interbus.com

I think fantasy bus might also have private vans.

Leo Rodriguez picked us up at the Hampton Inn near the airport at the appointed time (5 minutes early) and took us to Tamarindo (4 1/2 hrs. away). He also brought us back 6 days later. He is so interesting, a college grad, a careful driver, and has a nice van. His phone number is (506)378-0001 and his e-mail address is [email protected] He offers canopy tours, riverrafting, horseback riding, sport fishing, etc. I know he is an avid surfer. We hired a surf instructor for our adult children and next time, we will hire Leo if he is available.

$160.00 - If I remember right, it was quoted as $40.00 per person. When I asked if others would be joining us on the trip to Tamarindo, Leo stated, "no, this is your private transportation. The trip took 4 1/2 hrs. (Leo is a careful driver) and then we stopped for lunch at a roadside cafe and that took an extra 1/2 hr. Leo is familiar with all of Costa Ricas and is a wealth of information.
