PRESIDENTE INTERCONTINENTAL or MARRIOTT CASAMAGNA???

Which resort is better to stay at when considering beach, water, facilities, location, etc? One footnote...we will be traveling with teenage children.
They both have 4 stars (out of 5) and we were wondering if one had a distinct advantage over the other?

Thanks for the info!
Craig

I have stayed at the Marriott Casamagna in Cancun. Before going on, in which location are you referring to PV or Cancun?

Hi, I have stayed at the Presidente and the beach there is the best, no waves, very calm and very warm. And it is very different than on the other side of Cancun which has waves and sometimes looks rough, its up to what you like. The Presidente is one of the first hotel built in Cancun and therefore had its pick of beach so it is very nice.

I have never stayed at the Presidente but I did stay at the Marriott Casamanga which is a gorgeous hotel. It was 5 stars when I was there. I was there with 2 teenagers as well. It is a very quiet hotel. Very nice beach wonderful water, calm, no waves. There is a bus stop out front to go into downtown. If you want to stay away from it all, it is fine. The food I found to be rather $$$ but that is to be expected.
