Friday Dec 23, Arrive Santiago in the early morning leave for flight to south same day to Puerto Montt
Friday Dec 23-26, Spend 2 days in Puerto Montt
Monday Dec 26, Flight from Puerto Montt to Punto Arenas, catch bus (2hr) to Puerto Natales (glaciers)
Tuesday Dec 26-29, Puerto Natales, spend 3 days
Thursday Dec 29 , return bus to Punto Arenas, spend this day and visit penguin colonies, stay overnight
Friday Dec 30 , flight to Santiago , see city for the day and leave at midnight for Atlanta

1- What are your plans for PM?

2- What are your plans for PN? Are you planning to go from there to Torres del Paine?

3- Your itinerary looks 'doable'. I would suggest TDP and another day in Santiago if possible.

The only change I would make is to stay in Puerto Vargas instead of Puerto Montt. We found Puerto Montt to be very busy, medium size city. Puerto Vargas (only 20 minutes away) is a beautiful little town on the lake, much more scenic and peaceful.

A minor correction: It's Puerto Varas, not Puerto Vargas. Puerto Varas has a casino, so...

In Puerto Montt don't go to eat to Angelmó. It's a nice(?) touristic place but take care of seafood.
Choose an expensive restaurant, at most $10-$12 the entree.
Near Puerto Montt (a $10 taxi drive), is Restaurant Kiel. Good.
Another good place in Puerto Montt and in Puerto Varas too, is www.clubdeyates.cl
