Playa del Carmen with young kids
Hi all... When the kids were 2 1/2 and 7 we stayed at an all-inclusive about 10 min. north of PDC for 6 nights. Okay, but we as a couple are really not the AI type. We didn't feel we had much choice with our youngest, as trying to figure out when and where meals and naps would take place were definitely a priority. Now the kids will be 4 1/2 and 9 this spring break. We'd really like to consider a condo rental in the heart of PDC, with the choice to do what we want, outside of our rental, i.e., Cozumel, PDC beach, Xcaret, etc. Looking for any condos recommendations for a family of 4 with the younger kids age group, and/or any recommendations on "must do" items while staying in PDC. Thanks in advance!

I think you will get a lot more responses if you post on the Trip Advisor Playa forum:

I agree with schmerl, have used locogringo.com several times in the past including last year.
Half Moon Bay in North Akumal might also work, more laid back, but sounds like you want to be closer to the action like shopping and nightlife.

Great choice, as Playa has a lot to offer for one and all.
I once stayed at the condo called Ka-exel which is on Constituyentes between 10 and 15 ave. 2 bdr and fantastic location. The ladies name is Gloria which has got to be the best...
Also rented a condo on the corner of 20 and 5th (quinta) which is smack dab in the middle of the action... a little noisy but within walking distance to everything. The ladies name there is Isabel. Both these units are clean and bright and walking distance to Mega and Walmart for you groceries, and they come fully equipped with pots and pans and towels and all that stuff.
