Can anyone advise me on a great place to stay in Playa with our three kids aged 15,13 and 7?The type of hotels we like to stay at which I have seen on the web such as Mosquitoe Blue,Hotel Tortuga,Deseo do not take kids.We would love somewhere like that.My travel agent in Australia has suggested Porto Real Resort which has a great position but looks a bit tacky from the pictures.Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Forgot to mention that we will be in Playa in late December early Jan.

We are going around the same time as you with two teens and staying at the Bahia Principe Tulum. It gets really good reviews on the web and was recommended by our travel agent who had been there. Good luck.

My friends love the Shangri-la Caribe with their kids and go every year. We're looking into it as well. It doesn't look tacky like so many of the all inclusives in PDC. It's not All inclusive but you can get MAP or just breakfast included.

My family really enjoyed the Gala Resort in Playacar last August. The resort and staff were tremendous. My daughters are 9 and 11. <BR><BR>Try: www.locogringo.com and www.playadelcarmen.com. Also, if you put "Gala Resort Playacar" in the google search engine you will get many, many pictures.
