OK I really need to learn how to spell these places! I would look for a boutique type hotel, relatively close to the ferry.

A little more, please. There are thousands of playas throughout Latin America. At least give a country.

Maybe the Cozumel or Isla Mujeres Ferry? Or the ferry in Costa Rica???

I suppose the poster is speaking of Playa del Carmen as "Playa" is usually what the locals use when referring to their city. I usually do the same.

If indeed the poster is talking about the Playa Ferry to Cozumel, I would suggest Mosquito Blue Hotel in Playa Del Carmen. Or if you want something on the beach, even closer to the ferry, check out El Faro.

Silly me, I should also mention Hotel Playa Maya. Nice place and the closest to the Ferry of the three I mentioned.
