Peace Lodge - A good place to stay before an early morning flight?

Peace Lodge - A good place to stay before an early morning flight?
The Peace Lodge looks amazing but we have limited time in Costa Rica. We are going to Manuel Antonio for 4 days and were thinking of leaving in the AM, getting to the Peace Lodge and enjoying it all day and night before we heading out on a 9am flight home out of San Jose. A) is this even possible to make it to the airport in time and is it worth going for just one day and night? Also any tips on how to get to/fro would be helpful. Thanks!

Definitely stay somewhere nearer the airport for a 9:00 a.m. departure time. You need to arrive no later than 7:00, preferably earlier, and Peace Lodge is about 45 min-an hour away--that is if traffic is flowing smoothly--never a guarantee!

We loved Peace Lodge and we only stayed one night. We took a taxi from the airport ($50 for 4 of us) the taxi costs less on the way back to the airport since the airport has fixed prices. Go to Peace Lodge, hike the grounds and see the waterfalls (It is best late in the afternoon when the crowds are gone) Enjoy dinner at the lodge, sit in the jacuzzi and then head back to the airport in the morning. We did this and were glad we went to Peace Lodge even though we also only had one night.

we will also stay at the peace lodge ( 2 n ) before leaving for the airport. This will mean early departure ( 6am ) but I have called the Peace lodge and they will prepare us a breakfast " to go "

Ditto. We are leaving for an early morning flight and staying there in about two weeks. We have arranged for and booked a driver and will take our chances that we arrive (peacefully) at the airport in time. Good thing they don't name this he War Lodge.
