Hello George,

I was looking for more replies & ran across your message. We're going there on April 20th.

If you go to Epinions.com, there's a good write up on this resort. The specific web address on the one on the Paradisus is http://www.epinions.com/content_54175174276.
I'm heading down to here next Friday. I also haven't found too much, but they have a website (somewhat minimal) at
http://www.solmelia.es/cgi-bin/solme...otelhtml?15920

Tricia, are you planning on posting a trip report? If not, my e-mail address is [email protected] Would love to hear what you thought of the resort since I'm considering it for my honeymoon. Thanks

I recently stayed at the new Paradisus Riviera Cancun. I absolutely loved it. It is a very private resort away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cancun. It is a family atmosphere, but fun for couples too (I have no children, but enjoyed the family atmosphere of it anyway). The pool is the largest pool I've ever seen, and there is also a seperate adult pool as well as a seperate children's pool. There are many activities througout the day for both adults and children. Adult activities include dance lessons (salsa, merengue, etc.), aqua aerobics, step aerobics (facing the ocean!), music trivia, scuba/snorkle lessons, and much more. The decor and cleansiness is exceptional. Very clean and very beautiful Mexican decor.

There is also entertainment every night including a dance show every night in the auditorium and a band in the lobby until 11pm each night. They also offer bar excursions into Cancun as well as day excursions for shopping or so forth.

My only complaint was that the "reservation only" restaraunts book up way too fast. We were only able to get reservations for one night, and had to eat at the buffet all others. The buffett is good though...wide variety and presented well.

I would definitely recommend this is you are looking for a relaxing vacation. If you plan on going into Cancun city often, I'd stay closer to downtown in the hotel zone. If you want a good all-inclusive where you don't have to leave much, this is the place to go.
