Osa Peninsula Recommendations

Hi,

We are heading to CR with some last minute travel reservations. We're going in February (early) and only have Tabacon booked. We want to stay in the Osa Peninsula to round out our trip (of 14 days). Delfin Amor has availability but is very small and we'd like to be able to talk to others who are travelling and be able to compare experiences. We have not heard back from Bosque del Cabo but have a feeling they will be booked up.

Any ideas you could give that might have availability with a last minute reservation would be great. We are staying for four nights. We'd like to stay at a nice place but it doesn't have to be extravagant - hot water might be nice . . .

Thanks for all your help - it's great to read the posts from all the CR veterans. We are going for the first time but already know it won't be the last!!!!

La Paloma Lodge near Drake Bay if you want "nice for a price".

We stayed near Drake Bay at Cabinas Las Caletas in their private cabin up the hill a few years back. Nice enough at a very reasonable rate. There was enough people to chat and share experiences there though they only had about five cabins.

Have you considered Casa Corcovado? I stayed there about 2 years ago and will be going again in March. It's a bit of an adventure to get there since you must arrive by boat, but that's part of the fun.

Iguana Lodge just outside of Puerto Jimenez. Hot water, right on the beach, great food, easy access to local tours like horseback riding, kayaking, birding, swimming with the dolphins and much more.
