Which side of the Osa Peninsula? I can't help with Drake Bay area, but in Cabo Matepalo, we stayed in the Honeymoon Cabina at Rancho Almendros and loved it!
There's a cute little (about 9' round and 1-1/2' deep)spring fed pool to rinse off the sweat of a jungle hike. The food was excellent and plentyful. I liked this place because most places in the area, such as Lapa Rios, are up on a hill and a hike to the beach, where as Rancho Almendros is on the beach. This place is nothing fancy, but very comfortable. If you want more luxury, Lapa Rios is beautiful, but expensive. The only thing I should say about Rancho Almendros is that the couple that were running the place are now off on the Greenpeace Ship, so I have no idea who's managing the place now.
Very, very beauitful area. Lots of monkeys and Scarlet Macaws. Here's a web site for Rancho 'Kapu' Almendros.

http://home.earthlink.net/~kapu/

I've not been there personally, but a friend of mine was there about 4 months ago for a yoga retreat and loved it! She saw a lot of wildlife. The grounds and cabinas were decent and they have a 'cute' little pool to cool off in. She said food was nothing special but there was plenty of it. I don't think I've heard anyone say anything bad about it. Do a search on this post and some info will come up!

Ooops. I might have spoken too soon? Out of curiosity, I did a search myself. The second post I read was from a woman who stayed there and listed several reason why she didn't like it...such as no hot water...solor power and no outlets for hair dryer or other things...grounds not lit at night and no flashlights given out...communal dining...
Now mind you, none of these things would bother me if I knew about it going in, and it didn't bother my friend at all either. So, it just depends on how much luxury and inconvience you can live with or without!

Sorry Leslie. I have no information on those other two places. I've heard people asking about the Iguana Lodge but can't remember seeing any replies. I Can't imagine they would have any more amenities than Bosgue del Cabo, but you never know. Maybe someone else can help you! Good luck and have fun on your trip!
