I have a friend who wants to drive his motorcycle from the US to Panama and back. I've looked on the internet and I don't see any groups that he can join. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find companions? The companions could be in cars I suppose and he could tag along on the motorcycle.

Just a hunch but I bet most people riding motorcycles from the U.S. to Panama are pretty independent spirits and not much for joining groups, lol. It may be hard to find any.

I do know there is a group that does a trip from Texas to Costa Rica in 4x4 campers every year (met them on the road a couple of years ago). They seemed really friendly and relaxed and I doubt they'd have a problem with a bike tagging along. Sorry but I don't have any contact info...maybe try the Texas U.S. forum...

Lots of people who ride motorcycles don't travel alone, it's very common to do that with someone (and safer), so I don't agree that only people alone do that, travel on road trips.
