Need suggestions for Manuel Antonio and/or Dominical

We are finalizing our itinerary for our Costa Rica trip and plan on driving from Tamarindo to Manuel Antonio for a night or two and then to Dominical for a night or two before driving back to San Jose through the mountains. How do the beaches at Dominical compare to those at Manual Antonio and does anybody have any recommendations for lodging around the area. Our budget is around $65/night.

Manuel Antonios beaches are considered some of the prettiest in the country ..... In your price range would be Mono Azul , La Colina , DiDis Charming B&B , Casa Buena Vista , Vela Bar , Check out Maq beach .com .... Faith .

Check out Pacific Edge in Dominical and see if it has what you're looking for. We LOVED it and it's in your price range. Casual, small, well thought out cabins, fabulous setting and view of the Pacific. Can't compare Dominical's and MA's beaches since we never made it to MA.

Manuel Antonio has prettier beaches. Dominical's beach was not nearly as nice. With that said, I enjoyed Dominical more as it was less developed and had fun surf

Hi! We went to both areas in April. One of my favorite places to stay (about 12 miles south of Dominical near Ballena national seashore) was in an Adventure Cabin at Cristal Ballena. It was in your price range and is part of a new four star hotel. Kind of a rustic luxury. They have a web sight if you would like to check it out. Just do a search.

We stayed at Hacienda Baru 3 km north from Dominical. They have 6 cabins with 2 rooms, own kitchinette and the restaurant should you not feel like cooking. The property lies on the private reserve with 7 km of hiking trail. WWW.Haciendabaru.com.
