Must See Site in Mexico or Brazil
Hello Friends,
I am scheduled to travel on the job to Sao Palo and Mexico City in June. I can only really afford maybe Friday night on the town and all day Saturday. Can anyone kindly recommend a must-see attraction at either city? Any info will be much appreciated.
Thank You.

If your taste runs to museums, the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City can easily take us the better part of a day -- even a quick walk through the galleries takes couple of hours. Then you could spend some time people watching in the nearby parks and have dinner in the neighborhood.
Or you could go downtown to the Zocalo, see the Templo Mayor and its museum, visit the Rivera murals at the National Palace.
Or maybe a trip out to Teotihuacan, climb a pyramid or two. Make sure you see the Temple of Quetzalcoatl in the area called "The Citadel."
Lots to choose from

Great suggestions! dmutzman: just to clarify, you will have Friday night and all day Saturday in Mexico City (aside from Sao Palo)? Will you be trekking alone? D.F. is such a fantastic city----wherever your excursions take you there, I can almost guarantee that you'll leave with plans on returning!

Thanks a million for the suggestions, this is very much appreciated. Just to clarify, it will be different weeks to the locations, I just planned on taking advantage of the business trips but I have to be back by following Monday.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

The suggestions made by Pausanias are all great.
Another option, if you don't want to do any moving around, is to stay around Polanco or even the Zona Rosa and concentrate on stuff around Chapultepec --- there's enough there to keep a guy busy for a full weekend (and more). That's where you'll find the Archaelogy museum. Up on the hill is the magnificent Chapultepec Castle and its many historical exhibits. Across the street from the Archaelogy museum is an outstanding contemporary art museum. Chapultepec park is kind of cool in and of itself, and you'll also find a very good zoo there, and Six Flags Mexico (if roller coasters are up your alley).
Anyway, just a thought...
Have fun!
