WOW! You fellow travelers are fantastic! We have to go to San Gerardo on trip # 5 as now my husband knows about the trout fishing! Has anyone stayed at the Monteverde Rustic Lodge? It will be nice to have a choice of restaurants. I will take your advice and arrange for guides. WE went to Arenal a few years ago (hanging bridges) and Never would have spotted the wildlife by ourselves. We will stay in MV for three nights, then will travel to Ostional and my favorite The Luna Azul...
