Minimum check in and drinking age
I am staying at a hotel with a minimum check in age of 21 in Cancun I am only 20 but my boyfriend is 21 so he will be able to check in but I'm concerned if I'm not able to drink there. We are going here instead of Vegas for his 21st birthday so I can be able to drink. Will it be an issue?

You can drink at 18. You may be asked for your ID.

You will be fine. 18 is the drinking age there.
