Mid November Weather in Nicoya Peninsula
I want to travel to Montezuma, Costa Rica in mid November but cannot pull the trigger. I know it's the very end of the "green season" and am concerned about the weather. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the amount of rain that traditionally falls during this time. Also, any thoughts on going to Montezuma/MaPais instead of Tamarindo. I am not a surfer.

Agree that it would be best to push your trip to Dec., but try to avoid New Years as the rates and crowds are crazy. Mid Jan is great.
Montezuma and Mal Pais are great, with better water quality and less traffic/crowds. Also, less vendors trying to push things on to you to buy.
Does not matter whether you surf or not...you will find things to do in either location besides surfing.

Took me a while to finally find the official meteorological website, hope it helps a little
Probably a helpful idea to learn the translation of "tormenta"
It is still hurricane season...Although the west coast wouldn't be a direct hit it could still "float away'
That said I am headed there myself!

This might be interesting to you. I don't have time to read it right now but you can look at the graphics. (It is the long term projection for November to January)
