Mayan Riviera Querries
My wife and I are going to Playa Del Carmen in March or April and would like some information on the region in general and also some property specific information. We are looking atthe Reef Club Playacar but are a little scared because it is new. Any information on the region or specifics on hotels would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know about golf in the "Mayan Riviera" region, or is it just going to be futile to bring my clubs down with me. If you could pass on info regarding other potential sites for chat or more info that would be most welcome. <BR>Thanks in advance for posting or e-mailing me direct with any information

The area is wonderful. Great beaches, clear water, good people. There is a very good golf course about 3 minutes from Playa del Carmen in the Playacar Resort area. Well maintained and irrigated. A round runs about $100 US. I don't know if that includes a shared cart.

james, As I recall the Playacar golf course is just a short walk from the Reef Club, on the other side of the street. The Reef Club is fairly new, but I don't know much about it. The beach in front is very nice, but I don't think it's one of the luxury 5-stars. Playa is a mile or so down the road, about a $4 cab fare.
