Suzy (or Susan?)
The Dunes Hotel is very nice. Strong waves at the beach. The Hesperia Playa el Agua has a better access to the long string called Playa el Agua. Lots of restaurants on the beach that carry excellent food. This would be a better beach option. I dont'know the LTI Costa Caribe.
My best bet, of the ones quoted, would be Hesperia Playa el Agua.

Ana

BTW, the beach water is pretty cold, always. This is true to all Margarita Island beaches, except for one single beach way down south of the island.

Forgot to mention not to miss the ARestinga natural park. If you get lucky, your boat person will get fresh oysters from the "mangle" roots, and offer them with some fresh lemon juice. By far my favorite sightseeing trip.

Ana

Hi ana, do you live in venezuela? I got some feed back today from an agent in the usa that they were getting alot of complaints on the Hesperia Playa el agua. they said it was not a 4star hotel. Is the Dunes alot nicer? I don't mind putting out a little more $$ if the quality is better. I will be bring teens, we need golf, water sports, pool time, beach time but quality of the hotel is a must. thanks

Hi Susan! It's me again.
I stayed at Dunes years ago and it was very nice. It has a nice pool, the food was good, and the best part was the beach. It's true that it has strong waves sometimes, but not too strong. The beach has a large dune on one side where you can climb and get a nice view of the beach and of the little town on the other side (forgot the name). Our room (more like an apartment) was large and sunny. Playa El Agua is nice but can get crowded sometimes. I too vote for the Arestinga park!
