spring break dates ?

Hi, Does anyone out there know the dates for spring break this year. We would like to avoid travelling at this time and are starting to plan a winter vacation. Thanks

Usually the second and third FULL weeks of March, although sometimes the last week of March is also spring break.

Mary, can't you call your local school or college district? You think they'll keep it secret as classified info?

Actually, if you are going to Playa, don't worry, no spring breakers there or at least not like Cancun-Playa really doesn't cater to them. But then I guess I wouldn't want to be stuck on the airplane with them either

Well, as for 'learn yourself' he/she obviously doesn't know how the schools do Spring Break these days. It's not a matter of just calling your local college/uni because not all have their Spring Break in the same weeks.
Back when it was called Easter Break, it was more predictable...avoid the week before and after Easter Sunday.
However, since the first day of Springs always falls on either the 20th or the 21st of March (can't remember which) that gives you a general idea of of times to avoid.
Good luck and have fun!
