Mapquest for Mexico

Anyone know of a site for directions in Mexico that is similar to Mapquest or Mappy?

Thanks,

Spartacus..I found your name in an old thread about new delivery of a bmw. I am doing this in april and was hoping you could give me a few tips. I know this isn't the right thread but i am new to fodors and didn't know any other way to contact you. If you wouldn't mind talking to me let me know, we could start a thread or email whatever you wish. Hope to hear from you.

ebmims,

You can read my web page (of my ED trip) here ---> http://home.earthlink.net/~spartacus_33/

My e-mail address is shown on the last page there.

Feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions you might have.

Hi Steve,
There is some info, but not nearly the equal of mapquest nor viamichelin.
www.maps-of-mexico.com has an interactive series of "state" maps which is good, but a bit tedious to manipulate if you're going long distances.
You'll find many others on a google search for maps of mexico.
Are you driving the new Bimmer to Mexico? Insurance will be pretty steep.

No... I actually drove my 1966 VW 21 window bus down there in 1974. The gas was so bad.. it ruined my engine.

We're just coincidentally going on vacation again. It's been planned for ahwile.

I used Mappy.com for checking out routes in Europe... I figured there must be something that works in Mexico.

Thanks..... did you get anything helpful off of my web site?

Steve

You can get great maps of Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen from Mapchick.com.

Hi Steve,

Re: your web site, no, as we (sons and I) have road raced for years in Europe, know all of the tracks, weather, and great small towns and vills near same.
Best wishes, and if you get to San Miguel de Allende, give us a call.
Local 152-2575.
