Manakanda or La Mansion? That's the question.

Has anyone stayed at Makanda by the Sea and La Mansion? I am looking for a comparison. This will be for my honeymoon in June.
I have read so many great reviews for Makanda, but La Mansion looks amazing too. I'd love to get an opinion before I make my decision.

Can only comment on Makanda. Was there for my honeymoon (recommended by friends who honeymooned there) and really could not have asked for anything more. Beautiful, perfect private studios and villas; quiet and adults only; wonderful and friendly service; great food; beautiful grounds; a generally peaceful and serene feel, really can't say enough about this place!

Thanks Cassidy,
I'm leaning towards Makanda. Are the stadios as nice as the villas?

The studios are as nice as the villas, but if you want more space, the villas are much bigger. We found the studio to be perfect for 5 nights. There's a sitting area and a table w/ chairs (that we moved on to the terrace) in the kitchenette area.

I would recommend Makanda. We were recently in Manuel Antonio and drove by La Mansion - it did not look like a great place to stay - not close to a beach, and very run down looking.
