Makanda or Villas Nicolas
The period of time I have for vacation is set. I wanted to stay at Makanda but...they do not have a studio for the whole period. So I have to either split my week into two different hotels in MA or stay the whole week at Villas Nicolas.
Option 1: Makanda Studio for 4 nights/Villas Nicolas 2 nights
Option 2: Villas Nicolas all 6 nights.
I would appreciate any feedback on these options as well as choices of rooms or studios you may have visited. Right now I am looking at the following:
Villas Nicolas: Unit 12 Up, And 8 Dn
Makanda: studio 9 seems to be the one to beat - is this true?
THanks for all your help!

I stayed in room 7-up at Villas Nicolas and it was enjoyable, but the room needed a little updating. Everything about Makanda is supposed to be fantastic. I didn't stay there, but did have a great dinner there. Villas Nicolas is a little more convenient location, on the main road, while Makanda is at the end of a side road, but all in all, I'd take the 4 nights at Makanda and then two at Nicolas. Makanda is by far the nicer property.

I haven't stayed at Villas Nicholas, but have stayed at Makanda...stay there for however many nights you can! It's worth the hassle of moving! We had to do the same thing...only went to Si Como No for 2 nights. A come down from Makanda. I would suggest staying at Villas Nicholas first, then "moving up" if you have a choice. Makanda is fabulous!
