Los Lagos or Paraisio?

Traveling in June to Arenal with 3 kids and husband. I have looked at the websites and find both of these hotels look great! Both are fairly comporable in price for the 5 of us. We want to do the zip lines and other touristy things in Arenal. Any suggestions?

AP has its own ziplines, and reports are that they are pretty good! On the other hand, Los Lagos seems to get excellent reviews for families with children. I don't think you'd go wrong with either.

Los Lagos remains my son's favorite hotel in CR. We are planning a return trip this summer and his first question was when are we going back to Los Lagos? The staff there really likes children.

We stayed at Los Lagos on our third trip to Arenal this December. I did not know what to expect but really loved it. Room was very clean, spacious, and had a lovely patio with furniture. We had a superior. The kids will love the water slide and the pools. The breakfast buffet was very large and had a nice variety of items. You can sit outside the watch the humming birds eat. The third time to see the volcano was the charm. They rang our room at three a.m. and we could see the lava from our back porch. We saw a toucan, a parrot, and heard monkeys every day. We also drove up their private road and saw the lava on the other side. For the most part the desk staff was friendly, some more than others. The grounds are very pretty. If we return we will definitely stay there again. (Our other stays were Montana de Fuego and the Observatory Lodge.)

Thank you for the info! Do you have a website for Los Lagos? What other activities did your kids enjoy? Did you do the Cano Negro tour?
