you should be ~~ for tom42! it's fabulous.
weather is GORGEOUS, town is not too busy. it's not quite "season" yet, a few popular restaurants still closed from the summer.
i took a walk around Centro Sunday afternoon (ok it was raining a bit that afternoon) and was the only gringa to be seen.

<You took a walk around Centro? Don't you mean Central?>
baldone~ No, I don't. I mean "el Centro". That is the correct name for downtown PV.
katybird~ Yes. I typically come for 2 weeks & twice a year, but this is the first time I was able to get 4 weeks together off from my full time job in Seattle. Thanks for asking. It's a lovely feeling.
Percy~ neither Corona or Dos XX... Modelo is my beer of choice ;-) bought a 6-pack up at Ley just this morning.

janisj~ I don't think it was the movie itself, more that John Huston, Liz & Dick and their crowd "discovered" PV and started hanging out here as a vacation retreat.
yestravel~ Si, the statue is still in front of the restaurant by the north bound bridge over the Rio Cuale.
