what kind of things are you looking to do or see? Costa Rica has a wonderful variety of options. Most people don't just go to one place for their whole trip.

Hi, any particular reason why you want to see the Caribbean coast? There are very few resorts in the Caribbean coast in Costa Rica, by far the most popular area is the Pacific coast. You should consider Guanacaste and Manuel Antonio as possible destinations, as resorts in those areas will probably be better able to suit what you're looking for.

Send me an e-mail if you have any questions I may be able to answer.

Regards,

Enrique

PS: Where did you stay in Bora Bora? I spent my honeymoon there as well.

I should have asked what time of year you are planning on going. There are some wonderful places that fit your description but they are wetter during the rainy season. The caribbean is much wetter and as Enrique mentioned not as well developed although there are some nice places. A different type of place with more english spoken because of the Jamaican influence. Don't expect the "caribbean" side to be like the islands.
A couple of places for you to think about would be the Osa Peninsula which is my favorite or slightly south of Manuel Antonio in Dominical. Those places are not as developed as some but have very nice places to stay. They also offer beach and rainforest.
