Leblon - Restaurants and Music ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated for a visit in late August. We have some recommendations for Ipanema and Copa areas but little is reported on Leblon. Thanks again.

Leblon is more of a upscale residential neighborhood. One of the more famous places in Leblon is a place called Jobi's, bohemian crowd, cold chopp and great locals and menu. Another place in Leblon is Plataforma which of course has the touristy folklore show upstairs but the restaurant down stairs is where Jobim ate lunch everyday. There is also 2 branches in NY right now owned by the owner of BACC travel the Brazilian travel agency.

Thank you Dondiega - I have in fact visited the very popular New York Plataforma - its a great place to have a drink (s) - I enjoy a few of the restaurants in 46th Street a little more.

This is a wonderful - upscale - but worth it dinner. I took my mother and some of here friends there. You would pay 5 times as much for this quality meal in the States. I was told by a friend the best comics in Brasil were at the table behind us.

You may already have this restaurant on your list of places to go to as it is one of Rio's best restaurants. It is in Ipanema not far from Leblon, it is the best. http://www.satyricon.com.br/
