Le Meridien Cancun

Hola! Has anyone stayed at Le Meridien Cancun in the past? I just booked a vacation here, and wanted to know what others thought of it. Any tips about the area (restaurants, things to see, how to get around the area, etc.?)

Thanks!

I think CN Traveler magazine gives this hotel its highest rating for Cancun hotels. I haven't stayed there, but have seen it, it looks lovely. It's on a spectacular beach.
Make sure to take the bus downtown to some great restaurants!(check out Fodors restaurant section.) The bus is cheap, & easy to catch in front of hotels. You will see the bus station easily...

The Meridien is definitely one of the top 10 hotels in Cancun (may even be one of the top 5). You shouldn't have any worries staying there.

We stayed there in March of 2004 and thought the hotel was very nice. Great health club & spa. Good computer facilities. Amazing concierge staff. Watch out for drunken spring breakers at end of March and April. Weather unpredictable before March--rain and cool. Try to get upgraded to a suite.
