Lamanai Outpost Lodge - latest time to leave City to get there?
Ultimately, I'd to fly from Flores, Guatemala to Belize City then x-fer to LOL, but I'm not sure what the latest time is that I can get there (and still have full light down the river). Thoughts?

The LOL has three 'official' transfers per day--07:30, 13:00, and 16:00. However, for $90 they can take just you.
We took the 08:45 Tropic Air flight from Flores which arrived at 09:30. We wound up going at around noon--free of charge--because the other couple checking in that day was ready to go by then.

RAC - I know you told me this already but I can't find it in my notes. You just flew one way, right? Did you arrange transport to Tikal from Cayo yourself, and if so, what method did you use? Combo of taxi and bus?

Here's how we did it:
Days/Nights 1-3: Cahal Pech in San Ignacio.
Day 4: We rode with Cahal Pech's tour group to Tikal (for a price of course) and were dropped off at the Tikal Inn
Day 5: Tikal Inn
Day 6: We caught the regular 2:00 pm airport shuttle (arrived around 2:45 or so) to Flores (private shuttles were available for more money) where we spent the night just exploring the town.
Day 7: 5 minute cab ride to airport.
Flores is a nice little town with some lovely lake views (we didn't do a boat tour of the lake, but it looked worthwhile) and had a nice dinner. Everything there is CHEAP. Our hotel room, with a view of the lake, was $60/night for a good sized room with a balcony. Souveniers/crafts are also much more reasonably priced there than inside Tikal itself.
