KaiLuum; AnaYJose or other?

My husband and I are considering a week at Kai Luum II or Ana Y Jose however are still open to other suggestions. Any feedback on the 2 places? We stayed at Shagri La Caribe 8 years ago and enjoyed it.

Our priorities are:
1. Great beach
2. Good food
3. Quiet, relaxation

Thanks!

You might have a look at Cabanas Copal, or the more exotic Azulik. Located on a very nice, secluded beach; good restaurant and close to several other good ones; friendly, helpful staff.
Check their websites:

www.azulik.com

Hi,

Just wondering if you chose a place to stay or if you've gone already? We're thinking of Kailuum in June but haven't made the reservation yet.
I have a good review from my uncle who went last April, if you're interested I can forward it to you. I'm also thinking of other places nearby. I would be interested in what you choose! It's been overwhelming trying to find somewhere over the internet!

Thanks!
Sandra

Decided on Kailuum II but won't be going for a couple more weeks. I'll let you know what I think when I return. I've heard good things about the place. I can't wait!

the LA Times had an article about the
Mexican Carribbean last Sunday, and I think the travel writer stayed at Ana Y Jose, but not sure. Anyways, the article should be found free online at latimes.com

Try Zamas, it is a little before Ana & Jose.
It has great food, and was very quiet.
I was there a year ago and plan to go back!
